There are some things that just don’t mix well. A foot and a lego. Orange juice and toothpaste. Forks and power outlets. These are just a few examples of things that don’t don’t go well together. You might be thinking of other things that you fear mixing together. In carpets, there are many things that you might get anxiety hitting your carpet. Wine stains, peanut butter, pet accidents. You might be cringing just thinking about this. While it’s always smart to keep these things away from your carpet, in the end, accidents still happen. Don’t worry though, there’s still hope, even when accidents happen! Read below to see what you can do.

What To Do With Juice Or Wine Stains

Don’t rub the stain! Rubbing it can push the stain deeper into the fibers and make it harder to get out! Simply dabbing it with a dry towel is a good way to start. Next, combine ¼ cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon dish soap, and water into a spray bottle. Spray the stain and let it soak for at least 5-10 minutes. Finally, blot out the stain until it has been removed!

Mud Or dirt

This might be a pretty common thing in your carpet if you have kids in your home. With just a few steps, you can get rid of it! The first thing that you need to do is let the mud dry. Removing wet mud is much more difficult than when it is dried. Vacuuming is the next step. It’s a good idea to go over the muddy area a lot of times to get rid of the dried mud. Use a cup of lukewarm water and one-teaspoon of dishwashing detergent. Blot it out using a white towel. Keep blotting until the stain is removed and use another towel to dry out the area.

Pet Accidents

Accidents happen, even to the best of pets. Try to catch the accident soon after it happens before it dries. It is much easier to get rid pee stains when still wet. To start, put a towel on the spot to absorb the urine. Put some weight on the towel to let it soak a little bit better. Next, use 2 cups of vinegar, 2 cups of warm water, and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Spray the area and let is sit for 5-10 minutes. Work on blotting out the stain until it is removed.
